Claire and Ryan’s Wedding at Marybank Estate

Wanting to maximise their time eating / drinking / and partying with their favourite people, Clare and Ryan planned their day to complete as much of their photography as possible before their ceremony kicked-off. They included an intimate first-look photo session, formal family portraits, and creative bridal party portraits, all before their other guests arrived.

Capturing Romance and Elegance at This Historic Adelaide Venue

Just 20 minutes drive from Adelaide’s CBD in the foothills, Marybank Estate has got to be one of my favourite small wedding venues to photograph at.

The setting! The View! The landscaping! With accommodations, multiple garden areas for a whole wedding event, and plenty of unique spots for portraits - if you’re searching for a stupidly idyllic venue for under 125 guests, you can stop searching now. YOU’RE WELCOME.

When I arrived to photograph Clare and Ryan’s wedding, the sun was shining bright, casting a golden glow over everything. This wedding was DREAMY af - just as I knew it was going to be. What with Clare the Project Manager by profession, and Ryan a web designer - this was one SCHMICK party with no detail left unconsidered.

The cocktail hour was a hit, thanks to the delicious catering by Sprout. And can we talk about that sunset? It was like something out of a fairy tale. Dinner under the verandah was the perfect setting for guests to enjoy a delightful meal. And get this – instead of a traditional wedding cake, Clare and Ryan opted for a giant slab of Haigh's Chocolate, literally smashing it apart with a mallet in the most hilarious fashion. Also, shout out to the giant pile of Saudade Portuguese custard tarts of which I absolutely partook (I love you Saudade).

The rest of the evening was filled with dancing, drinks, and all-around good vibes. It was a night to remember, that's for sure.

Enjoy.
